Landing Page Optimization Made Easy

LANDING PAGE OPTIMIZATION may seem daunting, but it doesn’t have to be. There are many different ways to optimize your landing page. I will share with you 3 of the fastest ways to optimize your landing pages for the most profit in the shortest amount of time.

Fast way 1 – Design

Design is the first most critical element to landing page optimization. A recent Harvard study showed that the main reason people buy from a website is because of on how the site “looks.” The fastest way to optimize your webpage, squeeze page or landing page is through updated design.

In regards to how your website looks ask yourself these questions:
What is the intent of your page? Does your design match that? Are your colors appropriate for your niche market? Is your banner too big and distracting? Is your opt-in box high enough? Is your call to action clear? Does your site look un-trustable and outdated? These are all things you need to consider when optimizing your landing page design.

Fast way 2 – Copy

Next to design, copy is the single most critical element in landing page optimization. Unless you have a hankering for sales writing I would recommend two things: 1. hiring a writer or 2. Borrowing information and tweaking accordingly. Most great salespages, landing pages and squeeze pages are regurgitated copy. So take pieces of what you like from others work (I don’t mean copy) and it apply it to your own page. The best thing you can do is look at competitive offers and see what they’re doing. This is far less time consuming than anything else you can do. Don’t reinvent the wheel, use what works.

Fast way 3 – Test & Tweak

LANDING PAGE OPTIMIZATION can only be quantified by testing and tweaking. Use Google website Optimizer for free, set up some different variations of a page and test and tweak until the cows come home. You will quickly learn what your market wants and what it doesn’t want by testing and tweaking.

Testing is really the only way to tweak and optimize your landing pages.

Here are a few different things you can test and tweak:

Headlines, Body text, Price, Color Schemes, Banner or no Banner, Opt in Box Position, Subhead line, Tagline.
